Inside, a large living room with open-plan kitchen, 3 bedrooms and a large mezzanine await you. This house sits at the foot of the 449-metre-high Rocher de Sampzon, which offers panoramic views of the Ardèche river and the Cévennes, and on a clear day, the Alps and Mont Ventoux. It's also a sensational spot from which to watch the sunrise and sunset. Just 7km away is the friendly little town of Vallon-Pont-d'Arc, where the Gorges de l'Ardèche begin. Hire a canoe and paddle the river from the superb Pont d'Arc. Don't miss a visit to the UNESCO-listed Chauvet cave, or the Aven d'Orgnac (21 km). There are also the magnificent medieval villages of Labeaume (10 km), Largentière (18 km), Balazuc (14 km), one of the prettiest villages in France, and Vogüé (20 km). N.B. The owners do not live on site and ask you to help clean the pool. They will give you further instructions on arrival.
